Why the title? Ok, because I almost feel as Julie Andrews in that movie, in that first scene, when she is running on the high mountain. Why? You´ll see soon...

Here I am, almost one year after my last journal entry. And yet I have visited regularly every week this page. But I didn´t have enough time to upload things. Now, with the little group of deviations from this weekends, I think it´s time, at least, to say something new.

Again, I´m working in a new place. Last year it was in a maritime town in the south east of Spain). And now, I am in a small town submerged in a valley accomodated between three mountain ranges. It´s called Ubrique, in the region of Cadiz (very well known for its leather articles for great firms like Prada, Chanel… and bullfighting culture) For Twilight fans, this place is very near to another town, which is known to be the Spanish Forks (or at least, it can be counted in the top 10 of rainiest places). But here, weather is a little different. Of course, there is humidity, and rainy winters. But everybody here says the spring will be beautiful.

Because, what can you think, when you find a landscape like this? When I go out, to the institute´s playground, and while I watch my students strolling and goofing around, I can´t avoid feeling always surprised. In a whole 360 degrees range, you only see heights, heights and more heights around you. There can also be seen lots of tawny vultures, a protected species in this region. And, in spring, you can get to see the most marvellous blue skies. I´m looking forward to april to come.

But, on the counterpart, I would like the winter to last longer. This year it´s the turn to go again for those big exams to get my post as a teacher (this will be the third time I try). Meanwhile, it´s great to get a job, because this is giving me points of experience and qualification. However, it´s hard to study and work at the same time.

In spite of the hard days, the rest of my life is great here. The institute it´s exactly the opposite of the previous one. Last year, I worked with other 100 teachers, and this year we are only 27. I always get that "Doll-house- like" sensation. Everything is small and you get to know places and people quite easily. People is very nice and willing to help anytime, and the kids are also even nicer than in other places. As for my colleagues from work, I´ve managed to have a little group of young ones, and we usually meet to have some drinks or dinners. That´s one of the greatest things of this work. Being a teacher provides you with tons of work that get to stress you, but the key is forgetting everything at 15.00 pm, when the classes end. But the experiences you gain are priceless: new places where you wouldn´t never be otherwise, nice people with the same problems and interests as you, friends to visit in their cities when they are on vacation...

OK, this is not a diary, but I wanted to say why I don´t have any free time to make my own drawings. The ultimate news are my recent sketches about Trinity Blood. This entire month of November has been the month where I´ve got to know these series. They are OK, with good characters and interesting plots. But nothing more apart to say. This is sad. I can´t do anything. My head is full of drawings and I have so many rough sketches everywhere in my folders and table and drawers… Studies and work have me hand-tied. Better times are yet to come.
In July… Oh, July…

**************************************************************************

No puedo dispersarme. En fin, ya llegarán tiempos mejores.
En Julio… Oh, sí… En Julio!!!!

Dearie! As usual, you don't have to worry at all, I'm in the same situation, there's never enough time to take care of things on DA, but I would never forget your birthday!
I'm happy you've had some good vacations in this lovely Christmas atmosphere  I hope you've had a great New Years' Eve too!
THANK YOU SO MUCH for your sweet wishes. :') My best greetings for you too, have a wonderful 2014, may all of your desires come true! (just not in Fuuma's fashion. His way of fulfilling desires isn't the best) I hope things are going smoothly with your job, and that everty problem will work out fine for you, your friends and your family. A huge hug!!! :ladummyhug:

(PS: I'm taking classes to become a turist guide and there's a guy from Huelva amongst my colleagues. Makes me think of you! ^^)

whoa! That´s great news! I´m sure your knowledgement in art will help you. And I would really love if someday I went to Firenze and I could have you as my touristic guide. Its so fun to know you have a colleague from Huelva, hehehe! Some days ago, two friends of mine were there and in Rome too, to enjoy the New Years´Eve celebrations. And I also made a trip to Edinburgh with some friends at the beginning of December. Is a marvellous city, totally recommendable! But it´s best to go on summer, when there are a lot of street festivals and cultural events going on.

I hope this new stage will be good for you. I´ll be cheering from the distance.

Hugssss!!!
