Carlota with yellow costume

OK! Here we´ve got the coloured version of my very first Carlota, sketched in a dirty notebook some months ago. Whe I finished that sketch, I saw clearly that a new character had been born. And a whole new world began to grow around her.

When I did the pic, I also knew very well how colours would be like. Its a very strange combination, but I think the pale colours of the dress fit well at the end with the intense red wine hat.

And yes, she has grey hair! Well, I had thought of her as dark-hairde, but after that I made some sketches with watercolours and black was completely out of range.. So hair remained with this strange tone.

Shading is very poor (specially the bottom of the chest): I only wanted to do some testing. I have to practice much more.

OK! Aquí tenemos la versión coloreada del primer boceto que hice de Carlota, hará ya unos meses, en un cuaderno sucísimo. Cuando lo terminé, lo vi clarísimo: un nuevo personaje había nacido. Y todo un mundo comenzó a nacer alrededor de ella.

Igualmente, cuando acabé de dibujar el boceto, vi claramente cómo iban a ser los colores de este traje. Es una extraña combinación de colores, pero ya dije que me encanta hacer experimentos con Carlota. Y además, al final creo que los amarillos y azules pálidos del traje contrastan bien con los tonos burdeos y vino del sombrero. En fin...

Y ¡sí!, tiene el pelo gris. Bueno, en un principio, la imaginé morena, pero luego intenté colorearla con acuarelas y como ya se sabe que el negro está completamente fuera de contemplación con esta técnica (por lo menos a mí me cuesta mucho llegar al tono limpio que quería conseguir), pues nada, se quedó con ese tono grisáceo.

Bueno, las sombras están fatal, lo sé (sobre todo las de la parte baja del pecho). Solamente quería hacer algunas pruebas. Tengo que practicar mucho más.
